When friends and family ask how they can help after baby is born, doula services are a great suggestion!

Meet Amy.

Hello! I am Amy Adams. I am a wife, mother, certified postpartum doula, and former preschool teacher. In all of my roles, I am a mom at the center. I am a mother to my two college-aged children, to my three step children, and to the countless preschool children I have taught over the last 8 years. When I discovered doula work, I knew I had found my calling. I suffered from mild postpartum depression and feel blessed that I get to help other moms during this vulnerable and fragile time. I feel called to “mother the mother”. I would love to be your cheerleader and teacher. I look forward to working with you!

  • "Amy is just the best! She helped us during the day after the birth of my second from the day we came home from the hospital. She did anything and everything we asked of her - laundry, cooking, tidying up. She made the transition into having two under two so much more manageable. She is a very supportive and positive presence. She also looked after one or both of my girls when needed. She is just amazing with kids. She has so many songs and activities for toddler siblings. If you are looking for sibling care, she has to be the best. My newly two year old is just obsessed with her. She has so much fun when Amy is here. I 100% recommend Amy as a postpartum doula."

  • "I wish I would have known Amy a few years ago when I was looking for a postpartum doula. She's just one of those people you meet and you're instantly comfortable! She was my 3yr old son's preschool teacher this year and he was at ease immediately. I had an injury that was pretty disruptive to my family and sending my little one to school with Amy was the stability my little guy needed in a very stressful time of our lives. She was so understanding and comforting to my family. As a nurse myself I feel Amy embodies that nurturing, fun, judgement free, take charge and joyful personality you want supporting you and your precious baby after you leave the hospital."

  • "Amy is the mothering mother you want beside you when you're up in the middle of the night trying to feed your new baby. She is warm, attentive, supportive and knowledgable. If there is something she doesn't know first hand, she is willing to reach out to her vast network to get the information or support you need as soon as possible. We had Amy as both a night and daytime postpartum doula and it truly felt like she became a part of our family by the end of our time together. Always coming in with the warmest smile and ready to dig into our pile of dishes or laundry! She connected so beautifully with our older kids - playing games, doing puzzles and genuinely engaging with them and their interests. Having her in our home allowed me to rest, have a bath, eat, sleep, and be with the baby. Not only did she tend to basic household things but she also helped me to cook dinner and make snacks as needed during her daytime shifts - such a gift! At night, Amy would care for our infant with such ease - it's clear she is meant for this tender work! If I were having more children, I would absolutely hire Amy again as a postpartum doula!"

  • "I highly recommend hiring Amy as a postpartum doula! Our family worked with Amy as a postpartum doula twice a week after the birth of our second child in 2023. I am so glad that I found her! I had two main goals when hiring Amy. My first goal was to have someone to help me care for our newborn so that I was able to have a caregiver break for myself. We are very selective about who we trust to care for our infant and we do not have many family members able to help with our infant. In having Amy watch our infant, I was able to achieve our second goal of balancing and giving individual attention to our older child during this transitional period during our lives (from one child to two children). I wanted the addition of our second child to be a positive experience for our whole family and I wanted to make sure our older child did not feel left out during this process. At each visit, Amy brought positive energy and encouragement. Amy was very punctual as well. I felt very confident in Amy's ability to assist with our newborn. The next family will be getting a fantastic support system in Amy. We wish her much success! 10/10 would recommend!

  • "Amy was a wonderful postpartum doula for our family! She was so kind, warm and extremely attentive. She jumped right in helping with everything without hesitation (dishes, food, laundry, changing baby, rocking baby, etc) and made everyone in the house feel cared for, including mom, dad, new baby sister and big brother. As a second time mom, giving time and attention to both kids is incredibly hard and such a transition period. The individual attention and time she spent with my oldest son filled my mama heart. Her experience and background with preschool aged kids made her the perfect fit for our growing family. My oldest is usually slow to warm to new people, however, with Amy, he was so playful and happy right from the start. I was able to focus on resting knowing my kids were in such good hands while she was there. The care she provided was more than just postpartum doula duties, it was the coampassion, connection and presence that made her stand out. At the end of her time with us I even wanted to keep her as our nanny because she was simply the best!"

  • "Amy is such a blessing to work with. She's the only person we trust with our children other than family. Kids are drawn to her and babies find peace and calmness in her presence. Amy has the ability to walk into your home and find her groove with little direction as it's her nature to do so. She just knows. A dream for me as a mom of three. Whether you need help with laundry, meal prep, latching/nursing, playing with littles, you name it she can do it. Not only is she incredibly well versed in infant and early childhood development, she's also a natural connector and sounding board. Receiving that emotional support is so refreshing and appreciated as a mother. I truly couldn't recommend her enough. We're incredibly grateful to have found her. She's the best out there and we love her deeply."

  • "We just finished up our second overnight and fifth day shift with Amy after our first child was born and couldn't recommend her more. Amy is so attentive to our family's needs and helped take care of mom during the first few weeks postpartum when everyone is focused on the baby. She was constantly asking me how I was doing, making sure I was drinking enough water and taking care of myself. Amy quickly became someone I could not only trust to take care of our newborn, but also someone I could open up to about how I was adjusting to life as a new mom. Amy is very knowledgeable about newborn care, and if there was ever a specific question she did not have the answer to, she would find the answer and get back to me shortly after our session. She helped me with learning how to wear the Moby and gave me helpful lactation-related tips. My husband and I looked forward to our 'Amy days' because they were an opportunity to have a refresh in the week - laundry completed, dishes cleaned, meals cooked, and we could sneak a nap or workout in. I couldn't recommend Amy more for postpartum doula care."

  • "As a mother, there are only so many people you can truly trust with your most precious gift (even my second time around). Amy is in my close circle of trusted people where I know my newborn is in good care. I did not have a doula with my first child but with my second, it made an incredible difference for both my physical and emotional transition to our new family member. During the early weeks, Amy supported us with overnight care. I counted down the minutes until her arrival and knew I could get a good nights sleep. I blinked and it was over but it made a world of a difference for me to properly rest. Later on, Amy supported us during the day. Again, I was able to have some rest and a little me time. Amy is beyond kind, knowledgeable and makes you feel so good to be around. I'm so thankful for our time with Amy and will be booking her if we are lucky enough to have another child. Thank you, Amy!!"
